Organization:
As shown, 20x20 or adjust to level/# of players/age. Make a 2nd grid if needed. Max players per grid, 8-10 players.
Instructions:
Blue is to combine with the central blue players and connect to the opposite blue. Red is to try and win the ball. Red is to do the same with their team once they regain possession. Every time the ball is reached one end, it counts as a point. Which team can get the ball to one end and back the fastest? Time limit 2-3 mins and rotate outside players every round or point system.
Add a neutral, who can play with any team, if odd numbers.
Coaching Points/Questions:
Combine with teammates, passing pattern, body shape (receive with the back foot, hips open), the weight of the pass, awareness(scanning), movement off the ball, supporting your teammates, and communication.
Progressions:
Rotational movement of players from out of the grid to inside when passes are made to those players. Any central player that plays to the outside now takes over their position while the outside player now becomes a central player.
