Set up
Small size square (c8m x 8m or smaller), with an end zone marked at two opposite ends.
Two players need to pass the ball to each other (scoring a point for each successful pass), with a tackler trying to intercept in the middle (receives a point for each succesful interception).
Passing players need to remain in their marked end zone & tackler has to remain in the main square. Also a point to the tackler if receiver takes the ball outside end zone.
Ball needs to stay below knee height.
Players to swap roles after each few minutes and keep tally of their own scores
Can again have players alternating at each end where odd number of players exits
Coaching points
Similar to earlier stage of warm up but now with quicker decision making required due to opposed element
Progression
Restrict to 3 touches - to enforece better body shape & anticipation

Set-up
Players in pairs, stood opposite each other at a slalom pole c12m apart (see illustration A). Initially passing a ball two each other, restricted to 2/3 touches, then progress to receive on one side of the pole and then played back from the other side (as per arrows illustration).
If an odd number of players, a third player can rotate after each pass
The revert to playing back to feeders opposite side
Coaching points
Basics re weight of pass, body shape - especially when looking for first touch to take to a different place, on toes, where to strike the ball, inside of foot "open" when looking to receive ball, not a closed body stance
Establish a good rhythm and aiming for a good pace - lots of opportunity for first touch, correct body shape, receiving and passing
Progression
As per illustration C, players at shaded end pass to diagonally opposite pole, with both players moving to the sideways pole in time to receive their next pass. Try for two pairs simulatneously working with the same four poles
