Keeper roll the ball out to a defender player but that player then turns to an attacker with two others.
The player can decide to pass to another player for them to shoot or they can shoot at goal then selfs.
When shooting aim for the corners.
Goalkeeper points, when diving try to take a step with your leading leg/foot (if shot is to the right then take a step with right foot) then push off that leg to dive i a diagonal forward motion towards the ball.
Make sure your body weigh is forward and positive
Hands are behind the ball
Eyes on the ball always
Stay in your side so that you are always facing the play(don’t turn and face the goal)
If the shot is straight to you then make a long barrier save / k shape with your legs save keeping your body weight forward (giving you a chance to fall in the ball like a turtle - ‘Pickford time waste’ to look after and secure the ball) Whilst keeping your hands behind the ball then scooping it up ti your chest to either 1. Get back up and play or 2. To fall on the ball.
Receiving a shot between knees and chest-
Make sure you move your body inline and behind the ball, hands in a ‘M’ shape with fingers pointing down and palms facing the ball, then bring the ball into your body to secure it.
Receiving a shot chest and above.-
move your body inline and behind the ball again like always, keep eye on the ball, hands in a ‘W’ shape with a little gap between your thumbs, ( size of your nose) and keep hand behind the ball as the shot comes in.
Key points for Keeper.
Always keep eyes on the ball
Keep your body weight forward
When diving stay in your side facing the play
When making a save(not a dive) move your body inline/behind the ball.
