1v1 Stop n Start Transition Game
Defender plays ball to attacker and overlaps. Attacker dribbles with speed and has to score by dribbling into small red gates. Player has to dribble past big center cone before choosing to go either gate. If defender wins it, they score in counter goals. Switch Roles.
*Can add big goal for shooting practice for attackers once they dribble thru gates.

4v2 Transition: can be played with 7. 1 Neutral goes into both grid.
Grid: 2- 10x15 yard grids.
Rules
Every 5 passes = 1 point.
If Defending team wins it and passes ball to other grid they get 3 points
If team loses possession they go and defend in opposite grid.
Coaching points: Players are encouraged to win the ball and penetrate immediately with thru ball.

6 Grid or 9 Grid Positive Transition Game
Set-up: 40x70 (9v9) or 30x50 (6v6)
Rules: team without possession has to defend in their respective box they are assigned to (coach gives formation and tells players which box they have to defend in).
Team in possession has freedom to move in between boxes to create goal scoring opportunites.
Purpose: Can team who just won possession find a way to create a goal scoring opportuntiy quickly as defending team is getting organized. Effective positive transition needs to take place in those 3-4 seconds of winning possession.
Coaching points: What's our response when we win the ball. Are we being brave in making runs forward?
