Setup - grid 20mx15m, broken up into passing zones as above, poles, cones and balls as required. 1 pair of players with a ball between in each passing zone.
Instructions -
Player A starts with a ball, player A passes to player B around the pole, player then returns pass around pole back to player A. Ball to remain on the ground and inside passing zone. Use both Left and Right feet.
Regression -
Change length of pass if required.
Replace pole with a pair of cones (as shown)
Progression -
Replace pole with a Passive defender - allows movement and decision making
Coaching Points -
Focus on body position when striking ball
Knee and head over the ball when striking
Maintain balance
Spot the target - Head up/Scan
Use correct part of foot (instep) to pass ball.

Setup - Field 25mx30m with big goal and GK. Split players into 2 groups.
Instructions -
Player A starts with ball, plays wall pass with Player B and contiues run towards goal.
Player C drops to receive pass from Player A, Player C plays wide pass back to Player A who runs into Crossing Zone before releasing cross along the ground.
Player C turns and runs forward to receive cross.
Player A goes to Position C, Player C collects ball and returns to end of the line.
Repeat drill from the other side. Rotate players through all positions and both sides of the field.
Progessions -
Player B moves forward after playing pass to become second (deeper) option for cutback.
Add a defender in the Crossing Zone.

Setup - As shown above. Adjust field size to suit player availability. Big goals with GK. 2 teams. Crossing Zone, 2 wide Zones & Central Zone.
Instructions -
Directional game with players in Zones as shown. With 1v1 in the 2 Wide Zones and the Central Zone. 1 Defender in the Crossing Zone.
Defenders must stay in their Zone.
Player at 6 starts with a pass into 1 of the wide zones (7or11), the wide player attepmts to drive into the Crossing Zone, he can use his supporting defender in a 2v1 or beat the defender in a 1v1. If he is successful in entering the Crossing Zone he makes the Cross.
The other wide player and the 2 central players (6&9) make runs into the box to receive the Cross.
Defenders are Passive to start.
When Defenders become active, if they win the ball, they can break from their Zones and they score in the small goal.
All restarts from the 6 position.
Change players/positions as required.

Goal from a Low Cross = 3 points
Extra Bonus - A goal scored with 1st Touch from a Low Cross = 5 points

Warm up (10 mins)
Setup - Grid 20mx 10m, marked at 5m intervals as shown. Players in pairs with a ball.
Instructions -
1. Player at position A with a ball, play short pass to partner, control and play pass back - Repeat 5 passes. (Right Foot)
2. All players 5 hops (Right Foot)
3. Repeat - skill 1 (Left Foot)
4. All players 5 Hops (Left Foot)
5. Receiving player moves to position C, Player at position A plays longer pass to partner who controls and passes back - Repeat 5 passes (Right Foot)
6. All players 5 Star jumps.
7. Repeat Skill 5 (Left Foot)
8. All players 5 push ups
9. Player at position C moves to position B, receives pass, controls the ball and plays pass back. He then quickly drops back to position C to receive the pass, controls the ball and passes back. - Repeat 5 passes (Player C keeps the ball after 5 passes)
10. Repeat Skill 9. Player C to serve and Player A to move and receive. - Repeat 5 passes.
