Progression:
Now work with 2v2 situations as a progression (call 2 numbers out)
Coaching points:
- Emphasis on decision making and working together
- If we win the ball can the other player get into space?
- How can we score quickly?
** Go 3v3 or 4v4 if you think players will cope as a final progression.
(Keep scores and switch numbers around)

Have two small goals/ use targets if you dont have small goals.
ENSURE YOU HAVE A GOOD SUPPLY OF BALLS
Split into 2 teams. If you have more than 4 on a team think about setting up two fields and using a parent to throw the ball in and you call numbers. This way it maximises game time.
Each player in the team gives themselves a number 1-4 (ensure they all know what their number is before you start!)
Reds on diagram attack the goal where the blue team are and vice versa.
Coach (in black) feeds the ball in to the middle (you can vary the feed - maybe on ground/or bouncing?)
1v1 situation - play for maxiumum 10 seconds to make it game realistic If ball goes out reset and they go abck to their team.
Ensure players always start behind a cone so they do not interefere with the game.
After a few rounds change one teams numbers so they play vs someone different
Coaching Points:
- First to the ball
- Look to beat your opponent quickly and score quickly .
- If you lose the ball do your best to ensure the player doesnt get a shot away
