SETUP
- identical to the technique session except only one ball is in play at a time
FUNCTION
- One team is in possession in a single box at a time
- The outside players on the adjacent lines as well as the team players in adjacent squares may come act as bumpers but not enter the square
- The opposite team player in the square may defend along with one player from an adjacent square
- Essentially, this is a 5v2 situation
- Once 7 passes have been completed, possession can be relocated to another grid
- First team to complete 7 passes in all 4 grids wins
COACHING POINTS
- Staging...where is the next pass/open grid?
- Playing away from pressure...can we play into the grid that is currently lacking a defender?
- Speed of play
