Roy's Transition Game

Three teams. Two teams on with one team off. Reds attack big goal and Blues defend big goal. Reds attempt to score in the big goal. Blues attempt to win ball and find one of the targets (Black 1).

If Blue can get the ball to black, then Black becomes the attacking team, Red becomes the defending team and Blue exit the field and set up two targets. This moment of transition can be chaos and the players must communicate and stay focused to be dominant in transition.

Teams who are attacking the big goal should press to win the ball back if they lose it so that the defending team cannot find a pass to the targets.

If the goalkeeper wins the ball, they can play directly to the targets so teams attacking big goal must drop and set up shields against a ball into the targets' feet.

Teams should always attack with controlling players staying in position to defend a counterattack to the targets.
