Heading session to help the players understand the mechanics of heading the ball defensively and attacking.
Mechanics
1. Keep your eyes open and on the ball at all times
2. Head the ball using your forehead
3. Use your neck and back muscles to generate power
4. Arms out for balance and to jump high
5. Stay on your toes to get a good leap and to be able to jump
6. Defensive headers head the middle/bottom of ball to generate height and distance to clear the ball out of danger
7. Attacking headers head the ball middle/top to have accuracy of where you are heading the balls towards the goal or if creating a headed pass to fellow team mates.
