Formation
Blue 1 - 3 - 1 - 2 and Green in 1 -2-1-3
Pressing up high. When we are in a 1 - 3 - 1 - 2 We want to pretend we are not pressing, until the ball gets switched to the opposite side, when the ball is traveling. When 3 passes to 2 or 2 to 3, that's when everyone goes. Nines go to the ball, the 8 covers. 7 and 11 go towards the middle to cover 8, 4 covers 11, 7 and 8. As a team, we want to force the ball to the middle so we can win and shoot. When we win the ball we spread out. And play the most open person even if it's a drop.
1 - 3 - 1 - 2
1 = GK
4= Center back - moves up to the midfield and supports the attack. Moves to left and right to support the #11 and #7
7= Wing back. Wing back is an attacking defender. Supports the attack but is the main defender on the right, backed up by the #4, 8 and 11.
8 = Controls the tempo of the game. Slows it down or goes quick. Supports on defense and attack.
