4-3-3 Penetration Activity (20 min)
Set Up: 7 cones, 4 wall dummies, balls,
A) #9 creates depth by pushing CB's back, then Checks into #10 cresting space behind the CB's. #9 plays #7 (Or #11) in behind back line as #11, #9 & #10 make runs into different channels. #7 finishes, drops the pass to #10 delayed run or picks out #9 or #11. Rotate sides.
Progressions: Add passive defenenders, then agressive defenders
Coaching Points: 1-2 touch passing, communication, eye contact, speed of play. Teach #7 & #11 to check back to middle third so the outside backs move forward to create space to play in behind the back line

Riptide 4-3-3 Penetration (20 min)
Set up: Goal, 2 Sm Goals, Half field, 12 balls, 8 orange pennies, 6 blue pennies
8 v 7. Orange Attacking players combine to penetrate. Blue Defending players work to win posession and score on counter goals.
Progressions: Defenders start passive. Progrees to agressive play. 3 pass restriction to no restricton. limit attacking play to 2 touches.
Coaching Points:
1. Work on keeping a shape to spread the back line out.
2. Focus on space and play through the five channels through the back line.
3. Encourage #2 & #5 to overlap the play to create numbers up
