Simple stick and ball warm up ideas:
Me and my ball time Every player takes a ball and practices dribbling skills Can set up some cones for them to dribble round/through Progress options: Blow a whistle and they have to link with another player and pass a ball Have different calls and the girls have to change their speed, do a spin or skill, etc. Be creative! Pairs Passing warm up Start really close (just a few metres apart) and pass 10-20 times Then get a bit further away and pass 10-20 times Keep getting further and practise different passing skills Progress: If the girls are confident, try some passes to the reverse side

Tennis netball
Start with a standard warm up - half or full pitch jog, then some dynamic stretching focusing on legs and core mobility (think calf walks, open the gate-close the gate, lunges, spidermans, squats, jump squats, etc.) Finish with a couple of sprints to get the blood and hearts pumping.
Then can move onto stick and ball warm up or start with a 'fun game' like tennis netball:Play sideways across one quarter of the pitch. Two teams of 8 if you have 16.
Goals are ‘zones’ set up using cones on each end and you get a ‘point’ for passing the ball into that zone. “Turn and burn” so once you score on one end you try to turn and get to the other end.
Player on the ball has to stand still (can take one or two steps if they catch on the move - think basketball rules once you’ve collected the ball after a dribble)
Teammates move into space and opponents try to mark them.
To progress, you can change the passing technique. Start with any kind of throw, then it has to be a bounce pass, then you have to roll the ball along the floor to pass (this latter one encourages the girls to get low and into a hockey-like posture)
