Organisation
- Ball side CM can pull wide and take up false full back position.
- Ball side FB can then take up a more advanced position further up the pitch
- Allowing LWF to roll inside and take up a more central roll or create a 2v1 overload in the wide area.
Key Points
- Movement from ball side FB needs to be early, giving WF a decision of who to press.
- As the FB taks up a position further up the field, the ball side CM can take up the space vacated by FB, providing a outlet for the CB in possession of the ball.
- Movement to recieve - create space
- Quality of pass - Back foot, allow player in possession to take the ball away from pressure
- Speed of pass - Ball to be transferred quickly in order to beat the high press from the opposition
- Communication - Information passed on to players in possession to encourage the correct decision.

Setup
Reds set up in a 1-1-3-3 shape vs yellows playing 4-3, just over half pitchPractice
Red CB takes ball from GK and looks to play out. 2 options to be givenOption 1
CB to RW who drops short and narrow, CB then performs overlooking full back run
Right CDM move to cover defensively, left CDM moves to right CDM location
ST moves into pocket created by RW, LW becomes central striker (in full game this allows LB to move higher)
After RW lays off to CAM, he looks to play in ST. However if this is not on, a pass to overlapping FB or playing LW centrally should be on instead
