Attacking 3v2 - passing, movement and decision making,make the pitch big
Introduction and Objectives - session plan to focus on attacking play, middle 1/3 of the pitch, making the pitch big to create space, movement without the ball, decision making, passing and finishing
Equipment - Bibs, balls and cones and goals (if available)
Organisation - 20x45 area - smaller than half pitch to encourage engagement and intensity, can adjust. make wider as session progresses
Warm up, Fundamental practice progressing to 3v2 Squad practice , 4v4 game plus 2 neutral player
Warm-up - 3v1 rondos to introduce passing and movement
Fundamental Practice - pass, follow the pass and shoot
Squad Practice - 3v2, focus on attacking players, movement without the ball, receiving the ball, open body and back foot, decision making - see, decide, do, passing ( Pace, Accuraccy and Timing)
Game 5v5 plus 2 neutrals (can be 4v4,6v6 ) - 2 goals, attacking, 2v1s wide play, transition quickly to defend, get team back behind the ball

Method: Fundamental Practice - Players pass from the centre to wide player - pass and follow, receiver plays forward and attempts to score
play to left, passing player moves to receiver position, alternate play to the right and left
Coaching Points:
passer aware of receiver, pass to back foot, pace and accuracy, small touch to put ball out in front, as ball is moving, pass and move in one movement
Receiver - aware and ready, on toes, open body, shoulders to ball and goal, wait for ball to be passed,
positive first touch forward, back foot
standing foot in front of the ball
composure, where is the GK
shot laces, low, corner
dummy - fake
don't over dribble to GK - see, decide and do quickly
Progressions:
1. 1-2:pass out to wide player , receiver plays 1-2 with passer and shoots
2. over lap: wide player receiving comes inside, passer overlaps and receives to try and finish
3. Introduce 1 Red Defender and then Blue Passer can combine with Blue wide receiver ( 2v1 )and this leads into next 3v2 practice

Method:
Blue defenders working in pairs, pass to central Red attacker, central Red attacker plays first pass to 1 of the wide Red attackers, defenders can score through in Blue gates if win possession, Game stops once GK has possession, transition to attack if loose possession
Coaching Points:
Attackers - make the pitch big to create space, decide quickly as the ball is moving, pass right or left, open stance to receive the ball
Wide Red attacker receiving the ball, open body, back foot
Aware of defender, decide - can move forward wide if space in front and behind the defender, red passer supports play behind to create 2v1
OR Red attacks inside shoulder of defender to create space outside and central Red crosses over to move into the space created outside - 2v1
Shoot or Cross to 3rd Red attacker
Finishing - composure, aware the GK , dummy or shoot, don't need to beat the defenderx2 to score
ball moving, standing foot in front of the ball, body position over the ball, use laces for power,
direct to either post away from GK, low
3rd attacker movement for the rebound
Transition to defend if Reds loose possession in play, Blues can score through the blue gates

Red player attacks inside shoulder to create space outside to create 2v1, 3rd Red player stays wide, moves to far post to receive cross

Method:
5v5 plus 2 neutrals that can't be challenged and stay in the narrow wide zones, transition to defending, back in your own half behind the ball,
limit touches on the ball, if team doesn't defend in own half then scores count double
3 x 6 minute games
Coaching Points:
attacking shape, make the pitch big, movement without the ball, forward runs without the ball
Opposition, drop off to occupy space in own half, don't get caught behind support to create 2v1s when attacking
switch the play
Defending - when lose possession get back behind the ball as a team, quickly, get compact

Method: Players in lines in 2s (or 3s), 1st player dribbles out to cone, turns either to the left/right or stop and pull back, little touch out and passes the ball to 2nd player and moves back immediately, resting player dynamic exercises on the spot, knees-up, shoulders, spot ,jumps, static stretches
10 minutes
Coaching Points: small touches when dribble out, to turn toe in front of ball in direction ball is moving to control the turn, standing leg position,
communicate visually and verbally to receiver,
pace and accuracy of the pass, don't delay (timing),
receivers body position, open , positive first touch, don't wait for ball to hit the foot

Warm-Up - Rondos (10 mins)
Method: 3v1 Rondos - pass and move, 3 passes scores 1, swap in/out defender, add more rondo areas if/when players arrive
Blues v Reds, defenders score if steal possession, keep intensity high, time box for 2 minutes, against each other
Static stretching between rounds - upper body, middle and quads and hamstrings
Coaching Points:
Passing and Moving, receive with open body, aware, on the toes, move as ball is moving, move yourself, move the ball, move again
