overview of session
Full session is aimed at how we use the ball in a 4-3-3 in possession in the final third with combinations, with a secondary focus on playing out from the back. The third focus towards the end is our out of possession shape in a 4-4-2, and how we can use this to benefit our counter attacks.

organisation of session
Two games of 5v5 split between defenders and attackers. Defenders trying to play out from the back, angled passes in to goals equate to 1 point (5 points = 1 goal). Driven runs through middle gate equal to 2 points, ball has to be carried through there.
Attacking players continue to work on combinations when the ball is won back - play always starts from GK in this practice.
Coaching Points
Key focus - timing of the runs, weight of passes, speed of play, clinical finishing
Progression
Attacking teams swap over and play a new defending team - tournament style scoring system for winner.

organisation of session
11v11 practice with both teams in 433 formation (442 OOP), working on linking POFTB and attacking combos in match practice.
Coaching Points
As previous, with added challenge of adapting to defensive structure to delay and deny counter attacks.
Progression
Smaller pitch, make it difficult to play through if we are achieving success. Adapt to less space to find the right passing combos.
