Inners vs Outers (30 mins)

Objective

Green team are trying to pass the ball in from one side and out the other. Player A must pass to someone inside the box who can then connect to player C.

Blue team "inners" are trying to win possession of the ball and play to their "outers". Once doing so, their objective becomes goin gfrom Outer, to Inner, to Outer and the Green team are trying to prevent them from doing so.

Numerical Variations

Currently, this is a 4v4 exercise (2v2 in box). This can be adapted to accommodate as many/as few numbers as appropriate for the session, so long as there is at least one "outer" per team.

For example, you could play this exercise with 12 players (4v4 inners plus 2 outers per team).

Playing Variations

1. Outer & Inner switch upon completed pass

2. Direct ball fom Outer to Outer (A to C) permitted

3. If multiple outers on same side, able to pass between each other to open channels
