Session designed to improve centre forward in 1v1 situations with the GK.
Set up as a 3 v 1 in a 10x10 square.
3 reds must complete 5 passes ( blue trying to intercept ), after which, one makes a run to receive a throughball to create the 1v1 against the GK.
Rotate the defender fairly.
Change angle / position of coned area to create different angles of 1v1's.
Focus on-
Firstly, keeping the ball away from the defender.
Timing of run - offsides ( poles ).
Weight of throughball.
1st touch - is it needed? can shot be taken first time?
Head up - where is the GK? biggest area of goal free?
Technique of finish - composure.
Know WHERE you want to score and go for it!
