Set up: 20x30 field, 12 players - 6v6.
Organisation: Teams play a regular SSG looking to score on opponent. When a goal is scored, play is stopped and the teams are placed with the following challenge:
Whichever team scored the goal, each player has a ball and is partnered with a player from the opposite team.
For the goal to count every player on that team at the end of 30 seconds must be in possession of the ball. If the opposition have possession of any of the balls, the goal does not count. Players must remain with the boundaries of the field. (you can adjust the numbers as to how many players must be possession depending on the team)
Coaching Points:
Stay on the ball
How can I maintain possession?
How can my team mates help me maintain possession?
Body position - between ball and player

Set up: set up 2 boxes large enough to accomodate all the players (approx 15x15) ensuring they are different colour boxes. Players split into two teams (red and white shown) and split equally between the two boxes.
Organisation: The game starts with red and white players paired up in two areas. In one area, marked with yellow cones, every white player has a ball with red defenders trying to get it. In the other area, marked with red cones, the opposite happens.
The game starts and each pair plays 1v1. Players with the ball in both areas try to maintain possession in their box.
The player without the ball in each area must try to gain possession, without kicking the ball out, and then take the ball into the other area.
To win the game, a side must get the ball off of their opponents and take it back to their zone, whilst having their teammates who started with a ball, staying in possession in the same area. This will result in all the white players being within the yellow cones or all the red players being within the red cones at the end of the game.
Coaching Points:
Stay on the ball
How can I maintain possession?
How do I know where the defender/space is?
Body position - between ball and player

Warm-Up
Set Up: 20x15 Area (half of the field used for next game). Each player with a ball in one hand
Organisation: Players aim to keep hold their own ball in one hand while trying to knock the ball out of another players hand. If a player's ball is knocked out, that player must move to the other half of the field where a new game begins (if they are knocked out of that pitch, perform 10 toe taps or move selected by the coach to rejoin the 2nd game). The winner is the last player still with their ball at the end
Coaching Points: Awareness of what is going on around them, use of the body to protect the ball, coordination to maintain control of the ball
Questions to ask: How can you protect the ball? What do you need to be aware of?
