Layout (40 mins)

If we split the group into 4 groups we can spend 10 mins in the Skills and Agility areas and 20 mins in the small Game area

Then we would have time at the end to run 2 small games - one in each half of the pitch

Learning Objectives

Hurling Baseball (10 mins)

2 teams of 7 / 8 players

Team a - Batters

Team B - Receivers

Player A hits ball from cone 1 out into pitch area - then collects a ball and solos / dribbles the ball to cone 2

Team B in blue have to retrieve ball and hit it back into the mini net before Player A reaches cone 2

Each Player on Team has a turn at hitting the ball out and when its hit players in team A have to try reach home before team B gets the ball back into the net

The game is designed to teach striking - solo - dribbling / Ball control - passing & teamwork for the receiving team
