5v3 to Seams
Setup: 18x18 5v3 box. 2 target boxes.
Game: Blue starts 5v3 in the box and orange has two players locked into wide zones.. They may shoot from anywhere in that box at any time (teach orange to pressure.) A blue player may also dribble through one of the blue gates with another teammate joining. If this happens, two wide orange players may defend in a 2v2. If blue scores, they get it back in the box for 5v3 again, with oranges rotating defenders. IF orange wins the ball, they may play into one of the wide orange players and all players may release. Orange tries to find a seam pass and score. Blue tries to prevent an outlet pass wide and regain possession (def transition). Orange switches to the 5v3 after gaining a possession by successfully playing a pass to a wide player (no matter the outcome of shot).
Coaching: Pressure ball as a unit to take away shots and prevent penetration. Transition is immediate if you lose the ball. Wide orange need to scan while receiving the ball in order to know possible seam options.
