Player #1 passes to Player #2 .and overlaps creating a 2v1 to goal. Player #3 comes out to defend
If Player #3 wins ball, they dribble over cone line for a point
Rotate: 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 1

OVERLAP 2V1 TO GOAL
Player #1 serves Player #2 and overlaps (2v1)Player #3 defends. If Player 33 wins the ball, they score in the small goal

Player #2 must dribble inside at the defender with speed to open up the angle for Player #1 to overlap into as well as to make the defender make a decision whether to stay with the ball or go with the overlapping runner

SMALL SIDED GAME: OVERLAP GAME
Play 3v3 or 4v4 or needed with goalkeepers.
Play for time. Most goals win
Both teams compete for possession of the ball and attempt to score in their opponents goal. Two players are wide on each side, one form each team. If a player plays wide to
a player from the central grid, they are encouraged to overlap them. Outside players can not be defended and are expected to dribble inside and look for a overlapping run. If it isn't on, they can play someone elsewhere in the central grid
Coaching Points
Timing and coordination of runs is vital
Wide player must receive sideways on
Wide player is encouraged to take a positive first touch inside to open up the channel for overlap
Communication : "HOLD"
Wide player must decide on the most effective option. Do I pass to the overlapping player of use them as a decoy
