Player A can attack either goal (Unopposed, Grey line) and must pass the ball (Dashed line 1)into the small goal before the line.
Player A will then turn and defend (Green line) player B who can now attack either goal.
Now we have 2 players in red who are our Neutral players.
Does our player know when to use a player to help him keep the ball or to use them as a decoy to find a way towards goal?
Do our players understand the combination being made and how to use it to make the correct decision to go to goal?
Do we have to try beat the player if there is no space?
Invent your own rules within this game so you can get what you deem to be appropriate for your players out of this.
Progression again is to go to a central goal with a GK.
If defender wins the ball can they go to the 1 goal at the blue end? They are also allowed to use the
Neutral players if they win the ball.

2 v 1 to goal
Coach can play ball in from any of the different areas.
Players can now play 2 v 1 against the defender.
Players must now decide when and where to pass or be selfish.
If deciding to be selfish, what factors will dictate that? ( Space behind player, distance to go, can we score without beating the defender.)
Questions to ask players.
What types of movement can be done to confuse the defender?
What types of combination can be made to create space?
When do we need to pass and when do we need to dribble?
Progression to a central goal with a goal keeper.
If players are ready, add in the offside rule.

2 v 2 plus 2 Neutral players.
Now play the Offside rule from the start.
Now you are looking to incorperate late runs through the players to penetrate lines
Many key aspects come into play now such as control, speed of play, switching the play, penetrating passes, movement of the ball.
Again, progress to a central goal with a GK

1 v 1 to multi goals
1 v 1 to multi goal game
Player A can attack either goal (Unopposed, Grey line) and must pass the ball (Dashed line 1)into the small goal before the line.
Player A will then turn and defend (Green line) player B who can now attack either goal. If defender wins it can they pass to the blue goal
DECISIONS TO BE MADE IN POSSESSION.
- Where do I want to score
- How do I get to that goal in the quickest possible manner
- Do I need to dribble past the player or can I play the ball into the goal from a good distance away?
Questions for the coach to ask.
Where is the big space? (In Front or behind the player)
What type of move could you do to get to that space?
How do I know when to make my move o take my shot?
PROGRESSION
Play the same game but with a central goal and a goalkeeper to add a realism to the game
