Organization:
-2v2
Condition:
-2 mini goals for each team split.
Coaching Points:
-Covering player (2nd defender) needs to be close enough to 1st defender to apply pressure if the 1st defender gets beat on the dribble. They must also be close enough to supporting player that if the ball is passed they can trasition quickly from 2nd to 1st defender.
Progressions/Regressions:
-Move the mini goals closer together to make it easier for defenders or further apart to make it harder.

Organization:
-3v3
Conditions:
-The field is longer then it is wide.
-Each team attacks two wide mini goals.
Coaching Points:
-Balancing defender (3rd defender) should be close enough to the second defender so if the ball is passed, roles can change quickly (2nd def becomes 1st def. 3rd becomes 2nd).
-Balancing defender (3rd defender) should also be close enough to the weak side player so if the ball is switched they can become the first defender.
Progressions/Regressions:
-Attackers can score by dribbling across the line between the goals.

Organization: Hits It Gets It
-3v3
-One soccer ball on top of each cone.
Conditions:
-Whoever kicks the ball out must get it. While they are getting the ball, the team whose possession it is can pick any of the 6 balls on cones to dribble in and play. The player getting the ball out of bounds bust place it on the empty cone before defending.
Coaching Points:
-When you are numbers down, can you delay by making the attacking team pass backward or sideways until your teammate recovers and are numbers even again.
-When numbers even, look for the moment to tackle.
Progressions/Regressions:
-Play in the middle of the field so the chase is longer.

Organization:
-Numbers even
-Field marked in thirds horizontally.
Conditions:
-When defneding, all the field players must be in two of the thirds.
Coaching Points:
-If pressing high, goalkeeper must play high as well.
-Connect the lines (Gk, def, mid, att).
Progression:
-Divide the field in to quarters to be more specific on spacing.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
-Numbers even
-Field marked in thirds vertically.
Conditions:
-When defneding and the ball is in a wide zone, all the field players must be in two of the thirds.
Coaching Points:
-Squeeze the player on the ball and close all passing lanes. Defending team will give up the big switch because the pressure should be intense and if the ball is switched there should be time to adjust positioning.
