SSG
The in possession team can score in either goal and should look to create space on one side of the pitch before transferring the ball quickly to the spare side to score.
The out of possession team look to win the ball back before attacking themselves.
Coaching points: - Scanning to understand where the pace is and where the opponents are
- Creating width and depth to spread the opponent and creating space for the in possession team to play in and create scoring opportunities.
- Decision-making on when to pass to switch the ball out or when to dribble into created space.
Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
- Focus on just in possession by giving the IP team a +2 and giving them 4 mins to score as many goals as possible (gives more chance to be successful and therefore understanding the space and when to transition the ball.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
1 point for a goal, can't enter a coned area around the goal to stop the IP team from scoring.

Ball Mastery:
Working on the mechanics of dribbling - all players have a ball and are asked to dribble only with different parts of their foot (outside, inside, sole, weak foot)
Working on keeping their head up during dribbling by watching the coach and how many fingers they hold up - first person to shout out how many fingers gets a point.
