1-4-3-3 FORMATION

This formation can provide a STRUCTURE for several triangulation plays and diamonds, that can facilitate the plays, whenever we are attacking or transition to defending. This formation is NOT THE ONLY WAY but the A WAY.

Of course the ball will dictates my team positional play, where I can also create the structure above for a better support defending (Press,cover,Balance) or attacking ( Besides, Behind, Beyond ) supporting

DEVELOPING A 9 X 9 FORMATION BASED ON 1-4-3-3 FORMATION

At 9x9 formation, where we can also play 1-3-2-3 formation, we can eliinate one CB(center Back) and one of the CM (Center Midfielder)

Now we have the GK with three defenders (1 CB and 2 Outside backs) which they can help create a passing options during the BU (build up from the back) and create also a support options during a transitional play from defending to attacking.

We have 2 MD (midfielders) that are staggered to create passing lanes; however, one of those MD (midfielders) will have a defensive role and the other an attacking role.

During the BU (Build up) the attacking three, can help the team by making the field bigger (spreading out) playing wide, so they can provide more options to change the point of attack

DEVELOPING A 4x4 FORMATION BASED ON 1-3-2-1 FORMATION (Field of Play 35x25yrds)

This is a 4x4 BASIC BUILDING BLOCK DEVELOPMENT FORMATION, where they will initiate been more familiar with the position of play and some basic rules of play.

The formation that I will adopt for this game model, would be 1-2-1 wich will provide a DIAMOND SHAPE.

This could be done by using three defenders with the CM used for a 7x7 formation and a 9x9 formation

or could also be the three MDs with the FW from the 11x11 formation.

This formation all players attack and all players defend.

No GK at this Game Model, due to a developmental phase
