Long Bangers
Combination of volleyball and tennis with focus on sweeping pace and accuracy as well as stopping skills and strategising
Teams have 4 touches of the ball in their half with the aim of getting the ball across the opponents backline
Play is started by a server from the service line (mark with a cone) who sweeps the ball across to the opposite half
Players may only touch the ball once in a play, either to stop the ball, pass the ball to "set" a team mate or sweep pass the ball into the other half
The ball may not lift higher than ankle-height
A team gains a point if the defending team play the ball off the side of the pitch in their half
A team gains 2 points if the ball stops dead in the opponents half before a player plays it
A team gains 3 points if they get the ball over the defending team's back line
If the ball goes out the sideline of the opponent's half, the team takes a sideline free hit and the ball can go directly back over the "net" or can be played to a team mate
Encourage lots of movement to anticipate ball into space, get to the ball before it stops dead etc
