Skill Practise (20 mins)

Players to organise themselves as highlighted on screen, with;

1. Same groups, one player from each team starts as the defender, each player in the line have a ball.

2. Players are encouraged to practise small touches while waiting.

3. Red cone used to make player transition smooth.

Aim: 1v1 senario - Attacker passes the ball to the defender and they pass back. Objective is to beat the defender by dribbling past them, attacker gets a point for a scoring a goal, defender get's one for disarming the attacker.

Once a player has successfully scored they will replace the defender.

(Rotate players every 90-seconds)

Adaptations (based on observations)

- Add a GK in the net to make scoring harder for the attacker, could have individual challenge. If there are GK's available to the session.

- 2v1 situation. Two attackers vs one defender, makes the defenders job harder, also encourages the GK to talk to the player - increases communication.
