TECHNICAL CIRCUIT (20 mins)

Technical Circuit:

Players are divided into four groups. In every group players have a different drill. Players after some time will change group.

Group A: Players dribble ball towards central pole and pass the ball to team-mate on the angle. Players will initially work on a right foot pass then move onto a left foot pass. After players play the pass they sprint to the free cone directly ahead.

Group B: Rondo 3 v 1...Players look to keep the ball from defender but can only play on the outside lines. Outside players can only receive the ball next to one of the cones. There can only be one outside players on a cone at any one time. Players can pass or run diagonally through the area but must look to keep the triangle shape giving the man in possesion of the ball always two options. After 1 minute if the defender hasn't been able to win the ball then change with an outside player.

Group C: Players learn to pass, move and rotate positions while keeping the same diamond shape. Player on ball passes to any of the other three available team-mates but cannot follow his pass but instead must move towards a team-mate who doesn't have the ball and then rotate positions.

Group D: Players will practice the 'wall-pass' against a passive opponent.

The first player dribbles into the centre of the area and passes the ball to his team-mate directly opposite and then becomes a passive defender. The player receiving the ball plays a wall-pass to the team-mate on his left and receives the ball behind the passive defender. The player then dribbles the ball to the empty cone.

The same applies to the second player now looking to enter the area but this time his wall-pass will be to his right hand side....drill continues.
