Passing & Receiving (15 mins)
Players in groups of 4, with 1 player working and 3 servers positioned on cones 5 yards from player. 2 balls with the servers and they pass the ball on the floor to the player without a ball to return in 1 touch. Next ball is then passed and repeated. Rotate roles of players every 3 minutes.This technical practice will help players make quick decisions when pass and how they can do that with different parts of the body.
Setup
15 Minutes approximately (ensure that every player gets to be the one out receiving the pass)

10 x 5 area (change to suit ability)
Key Coaching Points
Ready to Receive The Pass
Receiving player should be on their toes and in front of the cone ready to receive a pass. When the player has to control the ball, the players body should always be behind the ball.
Movement and body shape to receive
Quick feet side to side movement to receive the ball. Body shape must be open to play the pass to the open player.
Type and Weight Of PassPasses need to be on the floor. Also players need to consider the weight of the pass into the receiving player as they need to try and play with 1 touch.
