Objective
To improve players ability to control the ball out of the air
Organization
5 players on the inside, 5 players on the outside with a ball each. Players on the outside serve the ball in the air to thier partner. Players use different body parts and different types of control

Objective
To improve the teams ability to keep possession
Organization
Set up in a 25x25 yard area with a 5 yard zone at each end.
5v5 in the middle zone plus 1 player from each team in each zone.
Players must make 5 passes then play to their team mates in one of the two zone, the player that plays into the zone then replace the player who comes out of it.

To improve players 1v1 defending and understanding of pressure and cover
Organization
Set up as shown in the final 3rd of the field
Coaching Points
1v1 Defending
1.Close down ball quickly, but be under control
2.As the defender travels to close down attacker – assess the attackers first touch
•Bad first touch – nick the ball
•Good first touch – delay approach
3.Body shape – knees bent & side on/stance- low
4.Jockey and delay to win the ball
5.Threaten the ball
6.Use the back foot and inside of the foot to perform a block tackle
Pressure & Cover
Closest person presses the ball
The second defender covers the space between the first defender and the goal
If the attacker is able to beat the first defender the 2nd defender must press the ball while the first defender recovers behind the player pressing the ball
