A session to help develop confidence on the ball and move it effectively through dribbling and passing.

Set up: 8x16" with two mannequinns placed centrally. Football per player.
Procedure: Players in pairs dribble into the mannequinn, back out, into the next mannequinn, back out and then dribble down the outside to the begining.
Progression: Add 'moves' at each mannequinn. Demonstrated by the coach and also allow players to be creative and use their own moves to beat a defender.
Coaching points:
- Head up
- Good touches on the ball
- Correct moves to beat an opponent (highlight any that the defender could intercept)
- Increase speed & intensity.

Procedure: Players pass to the next player and follow their pass.
Progression: Add a 1-2 'bounce' pass.
Coaching points:
- Look up to who your passing too (call name)
- Positive touch on receiving (set next touch/pass)
- Good weight in the pass (don't under/over hit the ball)

Set up: 4 agility stations comprising of speed ladder, poles with football, hurdles and hoops.
Procedure: Players perform agility exercises for 60 secs with 30 sec recovery. Working 1:3.
1. Players hop through the hoops changing foot.
2. Players jump two-footed over the hurdles.
3. Players dribble through the slalom.
4. Players do two feet through the ladder.
Coaching points:
- Focus on technique over speed.

Set up: 20x30" area with a 15x15" central zone. Football per player.
Procedure: Players are numbered for both groups (bibs 1-6, non bibs 1-6). The coach will call out a number as well as pointing to the goal they wish them to attack. Players dribble out of the zone and shoot at the target goal.
Progression: 1 football per group, pass the ball and give it to the player who's number has been called out by the coach.
Coaching points:
- Head up (be aware of direction to go to attack the goals)
- Drive out at speed (beat your opponent)
- Communication (help team mate/point to the goal to attack - visual)

Set up: 20x30" area with a 10x20" central zone. Football placed at each goal.
Procedure: 3v3 in each 'end zone' teams try to play the ball in the middle zone for an advancing player to attack and create a 4v3 overload in the opponents defending zone. Players can pass or dribble into the central zone. No other player can pass through it. Every restart is from the goal line of the team who have possession.
Progression: Recovering defender can also pass through the central zone to add pressure and create a 4v4 in the last third. Move on to free play (normal game).
Coaching points:
- Move ball effectively
- Awareness of opponents
- Look to break forward as early possible

Set up: Players group in front of the coach with a football each.
Procedure: Coach demonstrates a move for the players to observe the technique, practice and practice at home ready for the next session. (fancy toes taps).
