Coaching Greens
Bibs layed out in formation. Balls with Green CB. and Green GK
1. Both teams set up in 1-3-4-1 formation.
2. Function working in the shaded area only.
3. Green CB serves the ball into the full back - this is the trigger for the Red CF to move into the shaded area to press. Once the CB has played the ball to the full back - he/she follows his pass and becomes a target player for the defending team - remains outside the shaded area.
Green CB can then decide who to play in to... Can play to Winger (if CF is slow to press) or combine with full back to pass to winger. Progress to GK playing ball to full back.
4. Green team aim to combine and travel through the shaded area.
2v1 scenarios:
1. Full back overlaps
2. Full back underlaps
3. Full back penetrates space.
4. CB plays into Winger for full back to overlap
5. Green CF comes in for numerical overload.
