Set Up:
Set up begins as exercise 1. Coach has 2 balls in each hand.
After the ball is dropped the the player then must get up and make a save from the wide player on the same side (i.e. if the ball is dropped to the GK's left then they receive shot from the server on the left)
Coaching Points:
Similar to diving technique.
GK should step toward the ball, bending knee to lower body to the ground
Hands to the ball, catching in 'W' and bringing to the ground
Save should be made in front of the body.
How quickly can the GK get up and get body in position for 2nd shot?

Set Up:
Coach volleys the ball to goalkeeper who makes a save. Goalkeeper should catch the ball if possible. Once they have caught the ball they should discard the ball to the side, opposite to the 2nd server (i.e. if the 2nd server is to their left then they discard the ball to the right). GK then takes a shot from 2nd server. Immediately after making the save from 2nd server they should get up quickly and smother the ball that they discarded after the first shot.
Progression - They have to beat the coach/1st server to the loose ball after making the save. Coach/server can shoot if they get their first.
Coaching Points:
Similar to diving technique.
GK should step toward the ball, bending knee to lower body to the ground
Hands to the ball, catching in 'W' and bringing to the ground
