Description:
Pass the ball amongst your team mates (Blues together, Reds together) making sure players move after passing the ball. One ball per team, no tackling.
Coaching points:
- firm passes to avoid traffic
- be aware of opposing player movements and opposing ball
Technical breakdown (Passing):
*1. Look at target*
2. Eye on ball
*3. Angle of approach*
4. Non-kicking foot alongside ball in a comfortbale position
5. Strike centre of ball with inside/outside of foot (identify area of ball)
*6. Firm ankle*
7. Follow through towards target
Individual Challenges:
- limit touches
- consecutive successful passes target
Regression:
- don't introduce touch limits. Can still introduce additional challenges in form of desired tempo and time rather than touch limits

Description:
Progression from 'possession in possession' is...
Block 1: 5 v 1 (rotate the single defender every 60 seconds)
Block 2: 4 v 2 (rotate the two defenders every 90 seconds)
Block 3: 3 v 3, you keep possession when you win the ball

Target:
Teams get a point when they can make 5 successful passes consecutively.

6 v 6 with no goalkeepers, players can only shoot inside the blue square.
Target:
Goal = 1 point
5 successful passes & goal = 3 points
Regression:
Reduce number of successful passes to 3 & goal to get 3 points.
Make the target box larger.
Progression:
No goals count without making 5 successful passes before shooting.
Limit number of touches per player to 3.

Block 1 - Players stand slightly behind their coned gates, first player pass through to opposite gate to their partner and repeat by swapping roles. CHALLENGE: set a target of how many a pair can complete with the ball passing through the gate. alternatively make it competitive with channels that are next to each other.
Block 2 - change: when a player recieves the ball they move to the ball around the outside of the right-hand cone before passing back.
Block 3 - change: now around the left cone.
Block 4 - back to Block 1 instructions. CHALLENGE: players can only use 2 touches (1 to control, 1 to pass).
Block 5 - back to Block 2 instructions. CHALLENGE: players can only use 2 touches (1 to control, 1 to pass).
Block 6 - back to Block 3 instructions. CHALLENGE: players can only use 2 touches (1 to control, 1 to pass).
