GK plays wide to CB
Wingback and D Mid coming close to support.
The other CB slides across.
CB passes to Wing back.
This play is designed to draw opponent to this side and create an overload.
Wing back passes to DMid
DMid passes to Wing back on other side
Wing back passes ball long line
CF runs onto it
All plays are 2 touch max. Coach this without opponents first.

GK plays ball to D Mid who starts just below retreat line.
Make sure referee knows that opponents cannot start over retreat line before ball has been received. (not all referees know this, talk to them before game)
DMid takes a touch toward either CB then passes to that CB.
Wing back comes down to support initially. Attacking mid makes run into space. Important not to stand there and wait for it, otherwise player will be covered.
When ball is played to CF Wing back now runs down the line to receive ball into run.
Alternative: Can CF take a touch sideways and play ball to the other less defended side of the field to play ball into run of the other wing back.

Long ball from keeper after backpass variation
Short goal kick to D Mid, who passes it back into keepers run.
Keeper plays long over top to CF who receives facing ball ball.
CB, wide mid and D mid immediately move into the area underneath the target player so we have a numerical advantage here to give us good chance to win second ball if target cannot control ball.
The player underneath the target aims to play the ball diagonal across into run of wide player on opposite side. The other attacking midfielder makes central run toward goal to drag defenders with him.
CB on opposite side of play has to come central immediately in case we cannot control long ball.
All red movements happen the moment the long ball is played except for wide mid on opposite side who starts the run if we win possession after the long ball.
Another option is to play the ball back to a center back for the long ball if CB has a better long kick than GK.

Starting positions
Have your team start on every goal kick in these positions. Play all goal kicks short, easy to control pass on the ground from keeper.
Right and left center backs split and come to the edge of the box.
Defensive Mid is is just below retreat line. The DM should be one of your strongest players and like a deep lying play maker. Need good skills here.
Center Midfielder also behind retreat line to offer a passing and support option.
Center Forward is in the attacking half of field to keep opposing D high.
Wing backs are on the right and left sideline near retreat line, they need to come low if ball is played to CB on their side.
Make sure players are half turned to receive ball on back foot.
Have your keeper play the ball short on goal kicks. Keeper plays the ball to DM or either CB
