Description

Practice passing but with an element of deception. Deception: "Hiding the truth, to get an advantage" 

Components of a pass - distance, angle and timing. This is from the passing player and also the receiving player to create space. Initially an unopposed with interference practice we will build through overload and match-up dependant upon success. The Goalkeepers practice their passing and distribution skills too.

Setup play zone 30x20 with 5 yard end zones marked with flat discs.

x10 player total, x3 balls, x7 players around the outside could include goalkeepers.  Using deception play a pass into a player in the middle.

The x3 players in the middle work individually to receive a ball and without passing back to same player, find another pass to outside players using deception of a pass.

Rotate players in the middle every 1-2 minutes until everyone has been in the middle zone.

Build to introduce defenders x2 defenders shadowing (no tackling) x2 attacking players.  Same theme using deception of movement and pass to outside players.

Outside players should be moving to create angle for pass. Outside players also passing with deception

Overload Goalkeepers in end zones, they play for both teams.

Aim of the game is to keep possession and play through to the other goalkeeper and back again to score "1million" goals

If ball is intercepted, or tackled, it must start again from the GK. 

Can the players keep using those deception skills?

Match-up

If successful then play Matchup if struggling then reduce the defenders and increase the overload.
