There will be 2 teams of four inside the grid, with two neutrals on the inside and two neutrals on either end of the grid. The objective is to progress the ball from one side of the grid to the other. To start with one team will start in possession of the ball (the blue team is in possession in the picture), if the black team can win the ball their goal is to find the outside and they will transition to being the team in possession.
Progression:
- 1 point for getting the ball from one side to the other
- An added point for getting from one side to the other if they include either of the two central neutral players in the progression
Coaching Points:
- The central player who is diagonal of one of the outside players should always be available
- The central players should stay narrow to allow as many passing options as possible
- The two central players don't both have to be available for the first pass. One of them need to support for the ball, the other central player can be the option for the secondary pass

Passing Pattern
Players will be separated on the outside corners, with two players in the middle of the grid. Every sequence is to get from one side of the grid to the other. Once each sequence is done it will switch direction and go back to the other side. When the sequence is over, the players who started in the middle will find an outside line; the two players that started that sequence will find themselves in the middle. Progressions:1) The bottom player on the ball will first pass the ball diagonally to the inside player, who will lay the ball off to the other bottom player. They will look forward to play diagonally to the other inside player who will open up and play to either top player.
2) The first ball the bottom player will make is across to the other bottom player. They will play the ball diagonally to the inside player, who will play to the other inside player. Once that is done, they play it forward to the top players.
3) The first ball is played across to the other bottom player. They will play the ball diagonally to the inside player, who will pass the ball backwards towards the bottom player who started that sequence. The bottom player will play the ball forward to the top players. The inside player who hadn't been involved yet will get the ball off the top player to pass the ball to the other top player.
4) There is no longer a sequence that players must follow, they can pass to any player. All they have to do is get from one side to the other.
Coaching Points:
- Weight of pass when you know the inside player is laying the ball off
- The diagonal pass is what we are looking for, that way the inside player has the potential to go forward. A flat pass can only go backwards or they have to do a full turn.
- The two inside players should try to be narrow, to allow for as many passing options as possible. It allows the bottom players to pass the ball all the way to the top players.
