Focus of session is on combinations. Pushing players to finish their runs will be a challenging part of it.

Set up:
One ball between 2 players. Players stand behind cones (cones are 7-10 yards apart).
How it Works:
Players will be performing different passing skills around cone then playing on other side of cone back to partners.
Make it a competition after each sequence.
Sequences:
1. Receive with right, pass with left. (Players move with ball.)
2. Receive with left, pass with right. (Players move with ball.)
3. Receive with outside of foot and pass with inside of foot with same leg. Switch feet.
4. Receive Cryuff behind, quick turn with other leg to go back to cone, then pass back on same side. Switch sides.
Keys:
1. Pass with middle of foot (not toes)
2. Lock ankle
3. Follow through
4. Support leg pointed at target.

Set Up:
Players are divded into 3 lines. Two lines are facing the goal 25 yards away from it (10-15 yards apart). The other line is positioned on the side so that it doesn't interfere with play (about 10-15 yards away). Balls begin with one of the lines facing the goal. Players step in front of cone when it is there turn to go in line.
Positions are similar to a striker with 2 supporting midfielders.
How It Works:
Players will perform sequence then go to next line (either counter clockwise or clockwise).
Sequence:
1. Overlap: Player across from starting player moves in to create an overlap space. Player with ball passes it and begins overlap. Player who receives 1st pass has option of playing overlap pass or playing into striker.
If playing overlap, then overlapper looks to play striker to finish. If playing striker, then striker looks to play overlapper to finish.
We should have players try both options.
2. Forward Run: Player with ball passes into striker (who comes on angle to show for ball). Striker has option of laying off to same player or laying off to other midfielder. Midfielders then look to play the other midfielder to finish.
Progression 1:
Add 1 defender. Attackers try sequence vs. 1 defender.
Progression 2:
Add 2 defenders. Attackers try sequence vs. 2 defenders.
Keys:
1. Mobility (before ball is played)
2. Disguise passes/Use Fakes
3. Continue run/Finish run
4. Determination to finish
5. Read Defenders' reactions to play optimal pass

Set up:
Goals are 25 yards apart. Attacking team has 3 attackers and defending team has 2 players on. If there are no goalies, then place small goals, and players must be over half before they can score.
How It Works:
Attacking team tries to score vs 2 defenders. Once play is over, furthest player on attacking team goes off so (in this case) red would player would go off and 3 new blue players come out to attack. The game continues with constant transition.
Players are trying the combinations practiced.
