This is a practice which allows a team to play with a FIXED pivot and relies on the movement of their 3 team mates to create passing lines to get the ball into the scoring zone.
Pivot needs to think about their positioning in relation to play and where the GK is when they receive the ball.
The defending team need to think about who will go into the grey zone to defend and win it back.

Set Up
Full Court
5v5 (If more than 10 players then change players every 2 mins)
Mark out with flat cones a line 7/8 metres from each goal.
One player (a designated Pivot) will play there and is locked into that area (in grey) and can go anywhere in that area. Swap Pivots on each sub change).
The remaining players (3v3) can play in the middle third of the court and can only play in this third of the court bar one exception (see below)
Pivot cannot challenge GK when they restart the game.
AIM:
Teams must try and find a pass into the pivot. For this particular session, the ball CANNOT go overhead height (use tallest player as your guide)
If a team can find the Pivot with a pass then the pivot can go for goal against the GK.
Once a ball enters the grey zone, 1 player from the defending team is allowed to try and recover the ball. If a defender recovers the ball, they can pass back to their team mates but the pivot cannot come out of the grey area.
If a team scores, they get possession back from their GK.
Whoever concedes possession of the ball goes when it goes out on the sideline in the grey area, possession goes to the other team's GK as a reset.
Aim here is can the team in possession create passing lines into the Pivot.
Can they recognise that opportunity early and make that good decision.
Can the pivot react to play by taking up positions that will help to create a passing line for their team mates.
Once the Pivot receives the ball, can they be decisive as a defender will be entering the area.
PROGRESSION
Allow another attacker to enter the grey area to support the Pivot but still only 1 defender allowed.
Put a time limit on how long they have to finish the attack when they enter the grey area (6-8 seconds)
