Organization:
Players will all be given ball in a scrimmage sized grid to work on the mechanics of their moves in order to work on their footwork.
Instructions:
Players will be lined up facing the inside of the grid. They will then work on feinting at the cone, lifting their heads up and passing into the other line.
Coaching Points:
Keeping the ball close
Being balanced and in control of touches
Dribble straight at the cone
Time the move so you don't hit the cone
Messi Touches
Ball goes across the front of the body
Creativity and patience are heavily encouraged
Progressions:
Players can progress to a roll, then cutting the ball back
then to a roll, cut, chop

Instructions:
Players will be lined up facing the inside of the grid. they will play a pass to the other side of the grid and then play 1v1 until the ball goes out of play or a goal is scored. They will then work on various moves to gauge their level of skill with not only their footwork, but their passing, receiving, and ability to play under pressure as well.

Players will be encouraged to do the mvoes that they have been learning

Organization:
Players will all be given ball in a scrimmage sized grid to dribble around freely in order to work on their footwork.
Instructions:
Players will dribble around freely until the coach places the condition that when the coach says "Go" the players must box the ball. They progress into boxing the ball then rolling it across their body. The next condition is that the players must perform a roll every five dribbles. They will have thirty seconds to complete as many high quality rolls as they can.
