Continuous crossing drill (30 mins)
This is a fun drill that is high paced, continuous and goes over the key points of crossing and finishing in a fun manner.
Split into 3 teams where 2 defend a goal each and 1 attacking team. The coach passes the ball into the attacking team who then play wide to attack the cross to score. If they score they get the ball again to attack the other side if they miss they swap roles with the defending team.
No one else is allowed in the channels and give the wide players a touch and time restriction to cross.
The coaching aspects to look at are:
Crossing technique and decision making
Movement to create space, attack the ball, lose the defender
The differerent runs to make to provide more options
Finishing from crosses (I say 1 pass maximum inside and 3 seconds to esure it doesn't become a possession game with the outside players)
