This is a drill which will focus on dominating the 1v1 situations.Organisation.
Set up an area 25 x 30 with x 2 channels 5m wide on the outside. At 8x4 end place 2 red cones to mark the start for the players. At the end of each outside Chanel place a mini goal. At the other end of the middle area place a 8x4 goal. At the mini goal end place 2 poles or cones 5m inside the middle area.
Attacking players start on the Red cone at one end. 4 defenders. Place 1 defender in each channel. Place 1 defender in the middle area defending the 8x4 goal. Place a GK in the goal.
The drill starts simultaneously on both channels. The Yellow attacking players dribbles the ball toward the Red defender and engages in a 1v1 to finish in the mini goal. Once the action has come to a natural conclusion i.e. the attacker has scored or the defender has won possession and cleared the ball, the attacker runs around the pole at the same time as the opposite attacker. The resting defender plays a ball forward for the attackers to create a 2v1 to score in the 8x4 goal.
After 3 players the defenders rotate and one defender rests and becomes a server.
If one attacker finishes before the other the 1st attacker must wait at the pole to ensure the 2v1.
