Press, Cover, and Balance
Setup: 12 yd by 12 yd box. 4 v 2 or 3 v 2. Outside players swing ball around. Walking speed only at first.
Coaching Points: First defender presses, second covers the direction that is being exposed by the first.
Note the need to press and communicate! "I've got ball should be commonly heard"
For the players in possession: Use body positioning, receiving ball on back foot, disguise, and quick movement after the pass.

Coaching Points:
Is there good pressure and cover? I
s there good communication? (force wide, I've got cover, pressure or delay)
When do you know when to press and when to delay?
What are cues to press? (Bad touch, back to goal, head down....)
