Objective
Organization
Balls set on the left side of the goal. 3 sets of gates 10 yards apart, a player in each gate. Passing pattern A - D, D receives and shoots across the keeper.
Coaching Points
Check out, check in and get in line with the flight of the ball
Quaility of passes (weight, accuracy and timing)
Lock ankle, strike through the middle of the ball with you weight forward.
Positives first touch towards your target (out of your feet)
Shooting - Assess the goalkeepers position
The final touch will set up the shot
Shot low across the goalkeeper to the far post
Lock your ankle
Strike through the middle of the ball with your instep and land on your kicking foot.

Full field exercise - ball starts with the GK and team sets up as if it was a goal kick on both side. On the coaches command, each team plays out from the back and look to score in the opposite goal.
Coaching Points
Movement off the ball the ball.
Receieve on the back foot to go forward
Progression
All players must touch the ball before scoring
All players must be above the half way line

1v1 Ball Manipulation (10 mins)
Objective
To improve players 1v1 ability/shielding the ball
Organization
Set up as shown in digram
F plays the ball into A.
A receivies the ball on the half turn and D applys pressure.
A either turns and taks on D in a 1v1 or sheilds the ball and uses a side move to beat D. Once A gets gets through one of the gates D can no longer can defend.
D then becomes A, A collects the ball and goes back to the back of the back F line and F becomes D.
Coaching Points
Passing - Quality of pass (weight,accuracy,timing)
Receiving the ball - Show to go, receive on the back foot. positive first touch, skill or sidemove to beat defender.
