Setup
Merge previously set area into 20x40m
8s play to 9s - 9s can return diaginal or straight pass - TRIGGER is a square pass (8 to 8/9 to 9)
On trigger - whoever received square pass, and partner, drive into area (live).
8s/9s - to manipulate ball through a pass or dribbling to opposite end line
5s - defend the 2v2 and negate 8s/9s success - can you intercept, force dead or re-posses and counter

- Roles - primary vs. secondary and the consequent adaptation if necessary
- Primary: apply pressure to ball, body shape to create 1v1, highest player
- Secondary: cover primary if beaten, be ready to press next pass, deepest player.

Split into 3 thirds (end 2 must be equal)
RB, CB, CB, LB (DEF)- central third
Playmakers (MID) on outside
MID - possession - try to penetrate DEF with a pass to opp MID in end zone (manipulate)
DEF - negate line being broken by MID pass

Setup
10x20m Area (multiple) - Channel
Split into Groups of 3 - if continual - or 4-8 if you want Interval inclusion.
Ball with 5 - combine with 8 - 8 into 9 - TRIGGER.
On the defensive trigger - 5 to press 9.
9 - go past 5 and drive into near-end-zone
5 - re-possess ball and counter or delay 9 for 15 seconds (8 to count).
Coaching Points
- Accelerate to close down highest point
- Deaccelerate within arms length of 9
- Body shape - low centre of gravity, toes, side-on - in respect to touchline and 8 (progression).
- Patience
- Recognise moments to re-possess - poor opp. touch, opp distance from ball
- Be agressive and physical - destructive
- Priority - 1. stop 9 breaking your line 2. negate pass (progression)
