Pressure/No Pressure Cues (20 min)
Organization: 35 x 30 field. 20 cones. 2 sm counter goals. Ball starts w/Coach. 4v2 in 10 yd space. 2 orange cannot leave 10 yd space. When 4 green attackers break out of 10yd space, they attempt to attack 4 defenders, 4 defenders look for cues to determine if they should cover the goals behind them or cover the line in front of them. Green attackers must connect 3 passes, then they may shoot from anywhere. Orange defensive #2,#4,#5,#3 can play to target players.
Progression: Create competition. Attacking team recieves 2 pts for crossing the defensive line & 3 pts for scoring on mini goals. Defensive team receives 1 pt for connecting to target player.
Coaching Points: Decision making through cues: pressure on the ball, press up. No pressure on the ball, drop to defend line/target (Goals). Footwork, bodyshape based on where the ball is, #4 & #5 coaching thier lines

Pressing in the Final 1/3 (20 min)
Organization: 60 x 35 field. 2 lg goals. #4 & #5 are restricted to 3 touches. Team may penetration into the attacking 1/3 only by passing over the line. Goals scored, restart with the coach.
Progression: #4 & #5 don green/organge jerseys & joing their teams in unrestricted play.
Coaching Points: Read cues of when the #4,#5 are passing (Looking up/droping head/pulling foot back) & press up on marks, press players who are facing their own goal & don't allow them to turn, win your 1v1, look for poor touches, slow passes, lofted passes as cues to press.

Organization: 4 mannequins 10 yds apart. 1 ball. 3 players on ea mannequin. Technical pressing activity. Press the man that is opposite you, player right and move left. Ball starts w/Coach.
Progression: Pressuring player takes away one passing option by arcing angle of approach. Passing players must make decisions on which directon to pass & move to opposite line as if emptying out space.
Coaching Points: Immediate Pressure, get on front foot, play at gamespeed. In progressio, second defender can read the cue of which way the defender is pressing so they can read which way the ball is going and get out to press early.
