SET UP
Create an area 12 x 21m including a 5m centre zone. Place two mini goals at each end. Use three equal teams of four players. Place numerous balls near the centre zone.
HOW TO PLAY
The two teams on the outside aim to transfer the ball through the middle zone on the ground. The middle team try to intercept the pass .If the middle team intercept they then try and score in either goal in the half where the pass came from. The team that loses possession change with the middle team.
The game always starts from the coach. Progression - Limit outside players touches.
PLAYER TASKS
Can you be in a position to either win the ball or force play towards your team mates?
Can you either press the ball or drop off?
Can you be ina position to prevent split passes? can you move across the pitch in relation to the ball?

Set up
Create a field with side brought in 5 metres and three gates on the halfway line.
How to play
Normal football rules apply (no corners/goal kicks - ball starts from red #3 #4 in this case).
Blue score by passing/dribbling through gate or scoring in the goal (with no bounce).
Red combine to score in big goal. Red #3 & #4 can only play in shaded area and must play like CB not FB's.

One of Ref #3 #4 are allowed to break into the area

Blue #6 #8 #10
- cut off passing lines to their #9
- pressure ball in midfield
Blue #2 #5
- pressure on ball side and compact on other side
- force play away from goal
- can you be in a position to prevent passes inside you
Blue #3 #4
- can you stop opposition #9 #10 from turning and facing forwards
- can you keep the space between you to a minimum
All players
- remain compact in width and depth and protect the box.

Remember the team task is to create a defensive block so defending team are encouraged to let the opposition play out.
If a team scores and all defending players are not in their own half, the goal counts as 2.

Team Task -
WHAT - Can we deny time and space to opposition in our defensive third by creating a defensive block
WHO - Us GK,2,3,4,5,6,8,10
Them - 9,11,7,10,8,6,4
WHERE - Defending third
WHEN - The opposition are in controlled possession and looking to enter our defending third
WHY - So we can prevent goal scoring opportunities
SET UP
Create an area 20 x 30m with a half way line. Use two teams of six with a ball per team. Place extra balls around he area. Four players from each team play in the middle and one player from each team is onthe outside at each end.
HOW TO PLAY
Each team aims to transfer their ball from one end to the other using their teams outside players. Whichever player passes to the outside player swaps positions with them.
Progression 1 - Teams have to leave at least one player in each half.
Progression 2 - After passing into the attacking half can the players create a block for 3 seconds and passivley defend to make it difficult for the opposition.
Progression 3 - Limit players to 2 touches.
