Improving Goalies Starting Angle Play and Starting Possition (coaching points)
- Ensure GK foot work is correct and fix as needed - side stepping without crossing over feet on short mavement and crossing over on long/far movements.
- Make sure hands are always up and in the ready position.
- Ensure the Gk is always recentering themselves as they recover from a save.
Duration: 90 minutes
Intensity: Low to Medium for field players (recovery)
Medium to High for GK

Equipment:
- 3 field players and 1 goalie
- Extra balls set beside goal
- 3 sets of gates set eight yards from center of goal - gates 2 yards wide
Organization:
- Goalie starts by standing in goal with back to field as field players pass ball back and forth - on command "GO" goalie turns and finds ball to stop as player with ball tries passing ball through gates on ground
- Goalie distributes ball back to players and turns and resets
- Players pass ball back and forth as goalie is facing goal
Key Coaching Points:
- Quick turn by goalie to spot ball
- Shuffle into lane to get set
- Get low/ drop knee and place body in front of ball path

Equipment:
- 2 full goals set 5 yards apart
- 2 grids 20x20 yards
- 1 goalie and 10 field players
Organization:
- 3v2 in each grid going towards goal
- On turn over defensive players move ball to other grid to teammates and goalie must transfer to other goal
- Coach restarts game with ball on scored goal
Key Coaching Points:
- Adjust angles according to where ball is and work to close them down when possible
- When moving to other grid cross feet while keeping body square to field when possible
hands ready and prepare for a quick shot when moving

- White 1-3-1-2 to begin

Warm-Up - Team Hand Ball - 10 minutes (10 mins)
Equipment:
- Grid 20x40 yards with 4 yard deep end zones
- 1 ball
- Team split into two teams
Organization:
- Teams (field players) must use throw-ins to pass and catch ball to move it down the field - no moving/ running with the balll
- Each team has one designated goalie that may use normal goalie throws to advance ball
- If caught by other team or if ball touches the ground possession changes
- Score by catching ball in end zone
Kep Coaching Points:
- Throws must be on target with good weight
- Move to create space between defenders
