Player 1 (Stopper) is a drop option.

Outside mids look for runs on outside. They don't to be as concerned about getting back as fast because we have an extra defender in back.

Player 2 attackers but always keeps an eye on the defense.

GET COMPACT. If you give up space, let it be on the outside.

Player 1 (Stopper) can roam in front of fullbacks and be first pressure. Delay attack. Fullbacks set up behind stopper. If Player 1 Stopper moves outside, one of the mids fills in. Always have someone in middle

Player 2 supports the L and R fullback and stopper with cover. Fullbacks, including sweeper, move together, shifting as needed. Player 2 Stays Central.

Outside mids (wingers) look to fill in on weak side as needed.

Player 1 (Stopper) looks to support fullbacks if an attacker gets outside and close to goal line (end line) by moving in beside sweeper (Player 2). So they would technically end up in a flat 4 close to the goal line. Center mids look to cover in front of that line.

Player 3 shifts with play and looks for pass. Then gets ball up field by dribbling or clear to striker up top.

Clear ball high and wide. Player 3 and high striker attack ball and counter.
