WITHOUT BALL
-Players run around the area
Numbers and movements:
1= Sprint on the spot
2= Sprint to nearest goal
3= Turn to coach and practice a shadow pass
4= Drop down and stand back up
WITH BALL
-Players dribble around the area using various dribbling techniques.
-When the coach calls their name, the player will perform a 1-2 with the coach, and then continue to dribble.
-Players should receive the ball using the Inside, Outside and Sole of the foot.
-Start easy and let players stop the ball before shooting, then allow them to get used to shooting whilst moving,
Progressions:
1) Now players must complete 5 total passes with the coach
2) Now after a 1-2 with the coach, have a shot at the nearest goal
3) Now add targets
Coaching Points:
-Look up before and after receiving the ball, to anticipate your next move and be prepared to execute the shot.
-Demonstrate when and why you will use certain parts of the foot to receive the ball.

Fire or Water?
Description:
-Pair players up and assign to either Fire (Red) or Water (Blue) team.
-Players must work with their partner to pass and move around the area, but with the intention to stop at as many Fire/Water stations as possible- here they will stop the ball and complete 5 passes together before continuing their passing & moving journey.
-Players must look up and not stop at stations where there are other people
Progressions:
1) Competition: Now, when the coach shouts Water or/and Fire, players of that team will stop and try to complete as many passes as they can together (counting). They have 15 seconds to count out loud how many passes they can complete with the inside of the foot. Coach might shout out Water and Fire at the same time where everyone will now have to stop and count as many passes on the spot for 10-15 seconds.
2) This time, the coach will have all the balls- players will run around the area. When the coach says SHOOT, he will roll all the balls into the area and players must receive using the appropriate part of the foot, set up and then shoot into the nearest goal!
Each turn, remove 1 football from the game.
